SanlamAllianz nurtures young talent through internship programme
SanlamAllianz has once again opened its doors to a new generation of leaders, proudly welcoming 16 young interns as the second intake of its 2025 Internship Programme. This
milestone highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to equipping Namibia’s youth with practical skills, mentorship and opportunities that prepare them for a successful future in the
corporate world.
Launched in 2020, the SanlamAllianz Internship Programme has grown into a powerful platform for professional development, bridging the gap between academic learning and
workplace readiness. Since its inception, the programme has welcomed 131 interns, of whom 32 have transitioned into permanent employees at SanlamAllianz. This achievement reflects
both the programme’s long-term impact and its contribution to addressing youth unemployment in Namibia.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony this morning, Stephanie de Klerk, business development consultant at SanlamAllianz Investments, encouraged the new interns to embrace change with
authenticity.
“The only reality in the world that is constant is change. What sets humans apart from machines and systems is authenticity. It starts with you and your individuality. By embracing
purpose, passion and persistence, our interns can unlock their authentic potential and step confidently into the future.”
“At SanlamAllianz, we believe that the future starts with our youth. By investing in this internship programme, we are not merely offering work experience. We are nurturing potential,
instilling confidence and opening doors for young leaders to shape their careers and their communities,” said Laurencia Prinzonsky, SanlamAllianz's communications manager.
“Guided by our core values of collaboration, innovation, care and integrity, we are committed to mentoring these young professionals as they step out of their comfort zones and embrace
challenges that will shape their futures. It is both our duty and our privilege to walk alongside them on this journey,” added Stephan Erwee, general manager: Affluent Markets.
The second intake of the 2025 cohort joins a thriving initiative that emphasises hands-on experience and mentorship. Interns are immersed in real business environments where they
gain exposure to practical skills, career guidance and professional networks. Beyond skill development, the programme fosters long-term relationships, with SanlamAllianz often
recruiting its interns into permanent roles.
