Airlink adds second flight to Walvis Bay from Johannesburg

Airlink added a second daily frequency between its Johannesburg hub and Walvis Bay, expanding connectivity to Namibia.

The route expansion enhances Namibia’s regional connectivity, improving access between Namibia’s west coast and one of Africa’s largest aviation and business destinations. Operating twice daily, the Airlink service will strengthen business and tourism potential between South Africa’s economic capital and our country’s coastal region, according to Namibia Airports Company CEO, Bisey /Uirab.

“This new Airlink expansion offers travellers improved air access to Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. It is a strategic link that reinforces Walvis Bay’s role as a Southern African trade, investment and tourism hub. The commitment demonstrates the continued successes of Air Connect Namibia and what effective public-private collaboration can achieve in our country," /Uirab said.

The added frequency now sees a flight departing Johannesburg bound for Walvis Bay at 10:20, and arriving at 13:40, while the second flight at 14:05, and arriving at 17:25.
