O&L subsidiaries win big at NSI Awards
Three Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group Operating Companies (OpCo’s) have been honoured at the Namibian Standards Institute’s (NSI) National Quality Awards, demonstrating excellence across product manufacturing and service delivery sectors.
Hartlief received dual recognition with the Recognition Product Award and Large Enterprise Exporter of the Year Award, whilst Namibia Dairies was presented with the Recognition Product Award. O&L Leisure claimed both the Recognition Company Award and Service of the Year Award, marking a significant achievement for the group's hospitality division.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, deputy Minister of industrialisation, Gaudentia Kröhne, emphasised the critical role of quality standards in advancing Namibia's economic
development.
"Standards are the language of collaboration, the foundation of trust and the bridge between ambition and achievement. Therefore, on our journey towards the realisation of our national
goals as established in the sixth National Development Plan, greater emphasis should be on better regulation, market operation and trade standards that enhance Namibian competitiveness in both the regional and global markets. We ought to set quality standards for the water we drink to the technologies we rely on in order to guarantee safety and sustainability, as well as empower industries to innovate responsibly and enable governments to regulate effectively."
Franziska Rueeck, chief experience officer at O&L congratulated the operating companies on their achievements.
"These awards reflect why O&L believes that quality is at the crux of all we do, whether it is products and services at Hartlief and Namibia Dairies, exceptional experiences at O&L Leisure or our
commitment to owning the whole in all we do at all 14 OpCo’s in the Group. Our O&L Persona guides us and by being Authentic, Caring and Passionate in every interaction, we ensure that quality, excellence and world-class standards define the O&L Experience across all our industries."
