Bank Windhoek appoints new procurement head
Bank Windhoek has appointed Deolinda Shikalepo as head of procurement, effective 1 January 2026. The Bank said the appointment highlights her extensive experience and strategic leadership in procurement across various industries and aims to strengthen the Bank’s procurement governance and operational efficiency.
Shikalepo has over 10 years of experience in procurement, including contract management, compliance, supplier relations, and tender administration across financial services, manufacturing, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). She has advanced from operational roles to senior leadership, managing high-value contracts and cost-efficiency initiatives.
As head of procurement, Shikalepo will guide the Bank’s procurement strategy, governance, and policy implementation. The Bank said she will ensure transparent, ethical, and aligned procurement processes that support strategic goals, while overseeing sourcing, compliance, and supplier relationships.
Shikalepo is currently pursuing an LLM in International Commercial and Technology Law and holds qualifications in procurement and law. She said she aims to make procurement a strategic, value-adding function through collaborative leadership focused on accountability, compliance, supplier development, and operational efficiency.
