Old Mutual Foundation Invests N$58 000 in National Maths Olympiad
The Old Mutual Foundation sponsored N$58 000 towards the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST)’s National Mathematics Olympiad, reaffirming its commitment to education and youth development in Namibia. This contribution supported key elements of the Olympiad, including refreshment logistics, promotional items, and Unit Trust Investments awarded to top-performing learners across the country.
The top six learners, including male and female winners in each category, received dedicated Unit Trust investments. First-place winners each received N$8 000, while second-place winners, due to a tie among five learners (one male and four females), each received N$6 000. Through this initiative, the Old Mutual Foundation not only celebrated academic excellence but also laid the groundwork for future financial literacy and growth among Namibia’s youth.
