Namibia and Mauritius partner for ICT growth
The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), in collaboration with the Economic Development Board of Mauritius (EDB), will host a high-level Business Forum on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. The engagement is scheduled for 08h30 at the Avani Hotel (Stratos) in Windhoek and is set to focus exclusively on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
The forum aims to create a strategic platform for dialogue regarding digital services, innovation, and technology-driven business solutions. This initiative is a core part of the NIPDB’s mandate to facilitate investment partnerships and promote sectoral collaboration that contributes to national development.
A delegation comprising approximately 15 Mauritian ICT companies and representatives from the EDB will attend the event. Mauritius has established a highly competitive and export-oriented ICT landscape, with specialized capabilities in fintech, cybersecurity, and business process outsourcing. The presence of these firms offers Namibia a unique opportunity to attract investment into priority digital infrastructure projects and further the country’s digital transformation agenda.
